Nice to meet you!A Note From Alexandria Jacobson: While growing up in the Chicago area, I became acutely aware of social, economic and educational injustices at a young age. Fortunately, I discovered journalism in high school through the student newspaper, and I realized I could shed light on such issues as a reporter.
My desire to educate and right wrongs as a journalist brought me to Northwestern University where I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees from the Medill School of Journalism. Through my studies, I gained expertise in investigative reporting, social justice journalism and multimedia storytelling. I've applied these experiences to a variety of opportunities in pursuit of a public interest oriented career, ranging from reporting to teaching journalism to nonprofit work. Journalism is my passion, and I work to apply my skills as a writer, videographer, reporter and educator to all of my work. In my free time, you are likely to find me hanging out with my dog (Penny), golfing, reading or exploring Chicago neighborhoods. Thank you for taking time to get to know a bit about me. I look forward to connecting! |
